Song purchases - audio formats: do I receive stems, remixes, or backing tracks?

Songbay displays and sells only the song versions uploaded by our users. For song purchases and licenses, this normally means a stereo audio upload.

We do not create unique remixes, backing tracks, instrumentals, acapellas, or individual stems for purchased songs.

If you buy a cover-version or derivative-use license, you are expected to create your own unique version using your own recording equipment, musicians, singers, producers, or software.

There are many freely available audio-editing and vocal-removal tools that may help with this process.

For copyright purchases, it may be possible to receive additional files from the seller. If you need any extra files, please contact the artist before purchasing to ask whether they are willing and able to supply them.
